How To Change the World

Changing the world come in many ways. Each way can be valid according to one’s principles and skills.

To a Grade 1 pupil, changing the world so that it will become a better playground is by obeying what “mommy” and “teacher” are saying. It is by not talking when the mouth is full and by say “po” to the elderly. It is by not lying and hating other people. It is simply by being a good child to the parents and a good pupil at school.

To a Teenager, the world should be changed quickly. The world is full of ugly people, just like parents. To a teenager, there must be a place where he can lie down and just stare at the stars without having someone criticizing his moves. The world is chaotic and sometimes exciting when being explored with friends.

To a College student, the world can be changed by going to the streets and by practicing  the misunderstood “freedom of expression”. Changing the world for him is done by shouting while marching along the streets. It is done with the help of banners, mega-phones, flyers, posters, paint brush, jeans and anger.

To a young professional, the world is a hopeful place to live in. It has opportunities that one can benefit from. However, the world is too wide to change. A young professional thinks of himself before the concern of changing the world. He is busy so he won’t waste his precious time thinking of the problems of the world.

To a teacher, teaching the right lessons properly is the way to change the world. In front of him are the future administrators of the country, so success in imparting the students lessons means success in the coming decades. Changing the world is done by being passionate in teaching and by loving every learner.

To a politician, the world is too crazy to handle. It has wars, corruption, religion, fashion, heart, ego and the media. Each of the elements should be balanced to change the world in a snap of fingers. The world is full of resources and liabilities and these should be used for economic and social growth.

To a janitor, changing the world is not his obligation. It is beyong his comprehension as a high school undergraduate. He says he is “just” a janitor and all he is doing is to clean the comfort room to be able to send his children to a quality school. He finds the world crafted for the intellectuals like engineers and lawyers.

To a media man, telling the truth is what needed to change the world. The world can be changed by filtering also what to report about. It is by delivering only what is good and is beneficial to every man. Changing the world takes billions of people to him so he just keep on doing every simple thing he can do to make a better world.

To a businessman, changing the world is only done by being on top of the chart. It is done by becoming a Forbes lister and a tycoon of series of business across the country. It is simply done by paying employees the right salary and by treating them the way diplomats are being treated in the Philippines.

To Mark Zuckerberg, changing the world is done by clicking It is done by creating a profile on Facebook and sharing life-changing pictures on the social networking site. It is done my making friends to acquaintances and strangers. To him, the world can be totally changed when all Americans marry Asians.

To the President of the country, the world can be changed through the K to 12 Educational system. The world should be rehabilitated and the school should be the center of the change. To him, education is the key. It is not the padlock. The key must be polished immediately when it is rusted, to be able to change the world in time.

To a blogger, the world can be changed by heckling politicians and blogging about what can change the lives of every reader in the country. To him, it is fun living in a world with many things to write about. Blogging about the good things in the country is a big way to change the world. The world is simple. It is just a space for him.

Many ways, many methods of changing the world are said and will be said. But only Lady Gaga was able to change the world. She just sang “Judas” and the world changed. What happened?
